THIS is the moment Meghan Markle read and sang to kids at an LA hospital in a rare public appearance.

The Duchess of Sussex surprised patients and staff earlier this month when she led a ‘Literally Healing’ session.

Footage shows Meghan, dressed in a flowy skirt, white shirt and facemask, using the trip as an opportunity to show off her acting skills

Children were seen laughing and singing as The Duchess played the character of their favourite books.

The mum-of-two also helped kids with activities tied to each book that let patients explore counting, colours and problem solving.

Afterwards, she posed for photos with patients and hospital staff.

Meghan released her own children’s book in 2021 – The Bench.

The Duchess of Sussex penned the book after originally writing a poem for Harry’s first Father’s Day from their son Archie.

She dedicated the book to the “man and boy who make my heart go pump-pump”.

It was published by Random House Children’s Books, who also released Prince Harry’s explosive memoirs.

It comes as Meghan and Harry are expected to return to the UK next month or the Invictus Games anniversary at St Paul’s Cathedral.

It is believed the couple has been listed as a guest on a copy of the schedule.

It would be Harry’s first time in Britain since his sister-in-law, Princess Kate announced she is receiving preventative chemotherapy for cancer after abdominal surgery in January.

A source told The Express: “Both Harry and Meghan are listed as guests and a speech has been scheduled, but there is still a question mark over whether Meghan will make an appearance.

“Her name has been pencilled in as a TBC (to be confirmed).”

What is The Bench about?

The Bench is about the bond between dads and their sons from a mother’s perspective.

It features a cute illustration of Prince Harry, 36, and Archie, two, holding hands.

A bearded ginger-haired man, cradling a smiling baby on a bench under a tree, alongside text which reads: “This is your bench, where life will begin, for you and our son, our baby, our kin.”

On another page, they are feeding chickens, alongside the text: “Where you’ll never be ‘lone”, as a woman – presumably Meghan – is pottering around in a garden with one of two dogs.

Another drawing shows a father and his son in pink ballet tutus practising their stretches.

The duchess’s new book appears to make a veiled reference to the Royal Megxit rift – showing a Prince Harry lookalike saying “when life feels in shambles, you’ll help find order”.

Illustrations give a fresh glimpse into the Sussexes’ “authentic” life at their LA home.

The book shows a Harry lookalike playing with a little boy, and fixing a toy dinosaur along with the words “when life feels in shambles, you’ll help him find order”.

The choice of words seems to make reference to the fallout the couple experienced after they stepped down as senior royals.

And experts believe the trip could finally lay Harry’s rift with William to rest in light of both King Charles’ and Princess Kate’s “very serious illnesses”.

However, it has been claimed Meghan could still be an obstacle in repairing the relationship.
