KATE Middleton will be “doing her best to join in the outdoor life” following her cancer diagnosis, a royal expert has claimed.
The Princess of Wales, 42, released a heartfelt video last month revealing she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing “preventative chemotherapy“.

Kate added it had taken them time to explain everything to their three children – Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, “in a way that is appropriate for them”.
“It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family but I have had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me for which I am so grateful,” the mum-of-three said in her announcement.
“Most importantly it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them and to reassure them that I am going to be OK.”
And according to royal expert Jennie Bond, Kate will be taking time out to recover and heal over the Easter break with her children.
“I expect Catherine and William will blank out any talk of her illness with the kids,” she told Bella magazine.
“She says she’s getting stronger every day so I’m sure she’s doing her best to join in the outdoor life – the picnic, barbecues and walks on the beach.”
Expert Dickie Arbiter recently appeared on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show and praised Kate for delaying her announcement to speak to her family first.
He said: “Kate got her priorities right by talking to the family and children first, and then telling everybody what is wrong, what sort of treatment she’s getting and that she’s getting stronger and hopes to be back soon.”
In the heartfelt message addressed to the nation, the princess explained how she had been recovering from major abdominal surgery in January 2024 before post-operation tests revealed that she had the disease.
Kate, who did not confirm what type of cancer it was for, reassured that she’s getting “stronger every day”, but said she would not return to work until she was well.
The mum-of-three also shared a poignant message to others who were affected by cancer.
“I must focus on making a full recovery at this time I am also thinking of all those lives affected by cancer,” she said.
“For everyone facing this disease in whatever form please do not lose faith or hope. You are not alone.”
